Closure Procedures

The following information outlines the procedure that our club follows in the event of a closure

We will be closed if temperatures fall below –30oC (with or without windchill) (Check the weather here)
and/or
We will be closed when buses 20 and 9 are not running.
Additionally, we may be closed during times of rare extenuating circumstance

We are closed when temperatures are dangerously low in order to minimize the impact of those temperatures on the children we care for. Additionally, we will be closed when driving conditions are so poor that the Wild Rose School Division’s buses do not operate. (note: this information is usually broadcast on B94 94.5FM). These are the buses that typically transport children to and from Lochearn, St. Matt’s, and Pioneer. We do not have alternate means of transporting your children.

We will make every effort to update our outgoing message to indicate when we will be closed. Additionally, we will attempt to contact the B94 radio station to have them broadcast our closure.

We will not contact families individually to notify them of our closure.

Please be advised that you are responsible for getting your children to and from school in the event of our closure, and we cannot be held liable for children that are dropped off at the club in the morning, or awaiting pick-up from school by our staff when we are closed.
